So, This Is Church -- Now Available at Amazon.com

I just received word from Lulu.com that my sermon collection, So, This Is Church, has been selected for listing in their new Amazon Marketplace program. What this means is that I'll get a little more exposure for that particular title, and perhaps more sales.


For the uninformed, So, This Is Church is a collection of sermons dealing with foundational issues of the local church and her practices. Chapters deal with the Foundation of the Church itself (Christ and His gospel), worship, evangelism, fellowship, and the like. Interested? Hop on over to Amazon.com and take a gander.

A Time for Miracles - Today Is the Day!

You have been waiting with bated breath, counting the seconds, and now the time is here! A Time for Miracles is available for purchase from the Loom & Wheel online store at Lulu.com.

As with my original novelettes (Something Special at Leonard's Inn and Just a Simple Carpenter) I've fictionalized the story of a biblical character -- in this case John the Baptist -- hoping to expose more people to the Gospel message. Reuben, the narrator, tells of all the miracles that he witnesses surrounding the birth and life of John the Baptist. Ultimately, Reuben is introduced to the real miracle, Jesus Christ.

I've released this story in time for you to order plenty of copies for your friends and family at Christmas.

Testing Out Logo Representations

Ever since I came up with the idea of Loom & Wheel Publishing eight years ago, I thought, "Wouldn't it be nice to have a simple representation of Loom & Wheel." Several things have kept me from that goal:
  • I don't have the kind of money to hire someone to conceptualize it for me.
  • I'm not a graphic artist--so anything I'd develop would be campy-looking.
  • I can't seem to get across the idea to friends. Most of them think in terms of a weaver's loom (good) and spinning wheel (not so good). The trouble is that both of these are part of the weaving industry when only one is supposed to be.
So, I'm starting to just try out some possibilities. Help me judge whether you think these might be marketable possibilities or not. This picture (and the one at the top of the righthand column) are the first jump out of the gate. What do you think? Any ideas?
