In a day when spelling has been relegated to spell checker and txt msgng, when the word “to” is replaced by “2” and “for” by “4,” it is refreshing to see a thirteen-year-old boy who is willing to do the work learning to spell (correctly) words that most PhD holders would not know. Evan O’Dorney is the 2007 winner of the national spelling bee. Click here to see the results. And “Let’s get spelling!”
(Kudos also goes out to ESPN and ABC for televising this "sporting" event.)
